On May 31st, 2024, prestigious legal media Managing IP announces the publication of the IP Stars list for 2024. The IP Stars are senior practitioners who have been recommended or identified as leaders in their firm and/or jurisdiction. The 2024 IP Stars list is primarily based on research information obtained in 2023.
Bai Gang, Founding Partner and Management Committee Chair of Wanhuida Intellectual Property and his fellow partners and management committee members Dr. Huang Hui and Ren Haiyan are selected as “Trade mark star 2024”.
Managing IP also reveals The Top 250 Women in IP to recognise women leaders and senior IP practitioners who consistently go above and beyond for their clients and firms. Ren Haiyan made her debut in the list in 2020 and has remained on that list ever since.
Kingsley Egbuonu, global research editor at IP STARS, who spearheaded the research process, noted that even though Managing IP recognises hundreds of women as IP Stars each year, this year’s 250 list is extra special because it highlights the “best of the bunch”.
The firm’s Partner He Wei also enters the list of “Notable Practitioner” for aggressively advocating for his clients’ interests.
Managing IP published its first legal directory in 1994 and rebranded it in 2013 as IP STARS. The IP STARS guide has expanded over the years and now covers over six IP practice areas and more than 70 jurisdictions, making it the most comprehensive, leading specialist rankings publication for the IP profession. As part of the research for this year’s edition, the IP STARS team received data from more than 1,700 firms and contacted well over 5,000 IP practitioners worldwide for market surveys and interviews.
