The 13^th China Trademark Festival (CTF), which is jointly organized by the China Trademark Association (CTA), Guangdong Administration for Market Regulation (Guangdong Intellectual Property Administration) and Dongguan People’s Government, is convened in Dongguan, Guangdong Province on June 16 - 19, 2023. The CTF is an annual iconic event of China’s trademark community.

Themed “Trademarks empower new development, brands fuel dual circulation”, the CTF attracts more than 2,000 participants from government sectors, businesses, universities and institutes, law firms, IP agencies and other organisations.

In the evening of 16^h June 2023, the winners of various awards are unveiled at the Welcome Reception. Wanhuida Intellectual Property wins the “Outstanding Contribution to Brand & Trademark Building Award 2023” and “2021 - 2022 Exemplary Trademark Agency Award”.

On June 17^th, the Typical Trademark Cases Review and Analysis forum is held. Featuring “Trademark registration & enforcement trend in the context of new development”, the forum releases a total of 60 winning cases. Two cases handled by Wanhuida are included in the winning cases. The firm represented Wyeth in securing a favorable decision in a civil appeal proceeding against a long-term infringer Guangzhou Wyeth Baby Products Ltd. et al. The Zhejiang High Court upheld the decision rendered by the Hangzhou Intermediate Court, which found trademark infringement and unfair competition, ordered cessation, and granted punitive damages of RMB 30 million and reasonable legal expense of RMB 550,000. The case is selected as typical trademark case of 2020 - 2021. The firm also obtained for Grohe favorable opposition decisions and administrative punishment decision against copycat trademarks and the bad faith filer thereof. The case is selected as typical trademark case of 2021 - 2022.
